Our full review

EliteSingles is the closest thing Spain has to a members' club for online dating. Sign-up starts with a 200-question personality inventory built around the Five Factor model — expect to spend 25 minutes on it — and the platform will not let you skip.

The reward for that patience is a curated match pool. Roughly 85 % of Spanish members hold a university degree, average age is 33, and a majority live in Madrid, Barcelona or the Costa del Sol expat corridor. English-speaking daters will feel especially at home.

The app hands you three to seven daily matches instead of an infinite swipe deck. It is deliberately slow. Messaging requires a Premium subscription — free accounts can only send smiles — which acts as a natural spam filter.

At €44.95 per month it is the most expensive app on our shortlist, but for a serious dater the cost-per-quality-date ratio is the best we measured.
